Bringing an idea to life

Put your school's
knowledge to work.

Imagine an AI assistant that helps your admissions team improve the competitive discoverability of your school's mission and message.

Or an AI automated workflow tailored to your own unique community that helps identify opportunities for your students to pursue volunteering opportunities and internships.

We build and test small prototypes like this with your team. One option is Model Context Protocol (MCP), a standard way to connect AI tools with information from other systems.

Together, we define what the assistant can access and how staff will review its work.

Getting to know us

Your questions.
Our starting point.

Who will we work with?

Shelly Blake-Plock leads each engagement, working with your head of school, president or principal, and the colleagues most involved in the project. That may include academic, technology, admissions, advancement, or communications teams. Shelly began his career as an educator and spent most of the 2000s teaching in a 1:1 computing program in an independent high school. From there, he developed courses on technology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Education where he currently serves on the National Advisory Council. He is a long-time officer of the IEEE Learning Technology Standards Committee and is president of the Institute for Infrastructure and Interoperable Data in Learning.

How do you account for our school’s mission?

We begin with your school’s history, educational approach, and priorities for the future. Those conversations guide the policies we develop, the technology we review, and the ideas we test.

What will we learn from an AI systems audit?

You will gain a clearer picture of the AI features in the systems we review, the school information they use, and the choices available to your team. The report explains the findings and highlights the most important next steps.

How do you handle school information?

We begin with a conversation about your needs. For reviews and prototypes, we agree on the information required, who will have access, and how it will be handled. Early tests use public materials or fictional sample information wherever practical.

What happens after a prototype?

We review the results with you and identify what it would take to put the idea into everyday use. That includes testing, school approvals, costs, staff responsibilities, and ongoing support. You decide the next step with a clear plan in hand.

How are projects planned and priced?

After an introductory conversation, we provide a proposal describing the work, what your school will receive, the schedule, and the fee. We shape that proposal around your priorities and the people who will be involved.
